Roy and Hannah:

  • Taggert and Hannah continue to talk, and they tease each other about his still-upcoming sex talk with Juan. Dara arrives, and doesn't like seeing them together. She warns Taggert to be careful; he says they're just friends and it will stay that way. (3/1)
  • Bobbie's hurt when Roy says he shouldn't have kissed her. Later, Roy talks with Hannah while Bobbie talks with Tony. But despite the advice they receive, Roy and Bobbie stay apart. (3/1)
  • Hannah and Dara discuss Taggert. Afterwards, Hannah tells Him that Dara was acting protective of him; he assures her that he and Dara are just friends. (3/8)
  • Roy agrees to watch the club while Luke and Laura search for Lucky. Bobbie arrives, and Roy leaves the two siblings to talk; Luke comments on Bobbie's response to her ex-fiancé. Later, Roy returns as Felicia and Bobbie are talking. Felicia leaves, and he talks with Bobbie until Benny arrives. Bobbie protests, but Roy asks her to leave so he can meet with Benny in private. Bobbie listens at the door and overhears Roy arranging to meet Sorel. Roy tells Benny that he will go alone. (3/9)
  • Hannah overhears that Sonny and Carly have moved in together and confronts him about it. Sonny doesn't care what she has to say, but she feels better for having spoken up for herself and tells Roy that she's getting over Sonny. (3/10)
  • While Roy talks with Luke about his trip, Bobbie goes to Carly and asks for help. When Carly lets her into Sonny's desk, Bobbie learns the location of the meeting. She sees Roy at Kelly's and tries to convince him not to go. When he refuses to call off the meeting, she goes to the warehouse ahead of him to hide and watch. While Roy talks with Hannah about Sonny, Sorel finds Bobbie. (3/10)
  • When Roy arrives at the meeting, Bobbie attempts to get his attention, but only succeeds in making him suspicious. Sorel tells Roy that he doesn't like dealing with Sonny through Roy, and won't deal with anybody else. After Roy leaves, Sorel tells Bobbie that Sonny's response would determine what happened to her. (3/13)
  • Meanwhile, Hannah stands up to Mike and Tammy, and thanks Taggert for his encouragement. She's trying to put Sonny and all the guilt behind her, even though it's hard. They share a dance. (3/13)
  • Sorel continues to hold Bobbie. Roy asks the FBI for help, but they want to wait and see if Sonny breaks the law to get Bobbie back and bust him for it. (3/15)
  • Meanwhile, Hannah faces a drunken proposition from AJ, who thinks that they should sleep together to get back at Sonny and Carly. (3/15)
  • When Roy gets Bobbie's location out of one of Sorel's men, he goes off on his own to find her. He almost makes it, but Sorel arrives just in time. He orders Roy to be beaten and drags Bobbie off. (3/17)
  • Conscious again, Roy heads for the penthouse to find Sonny. He fills Sonny in and finds out that Carly was the one who made it possible for Bobbie to find out where the meeting was. (3/20)
  • As Bobbie faces off with Sorel, Sonny and Roy fight about how to save her. Sorel calls and wants Sonny to run drugs for him, but when Sonny takes too long to make a decision, Roy heads off on his own. He talks to Hannah. Later, Sonny phones and he and Roy put a plan in motion. (3/21)
  • When Taggert sees AJ talking to Hannah again, he steps in. Hannah tells him that AJ was apologizing, but AJ tells Taggert that he appreciates his defense of Hannah. Hannah tells Taggert that he doesn't have to defend her. (3/22)
  • Sonny makes the meeting with Sorel while Bobbie worries that Sorel won't let her go as he promised. She's surprised when her driver turns out to be Roy. (3/23)
  • Sonny delivers only powdered sugar, while Roy drives away in Sorel's limo with Bobbie. They check in at the penthouse so Carly will know Bobbie's alright, and Roy thanks Sonny for his help. When he takes her home, she tells him that she loves him. He tells her that he's a snitch for the FBI. (3/24)
  • Roy continues, telling Bobbie that he was the one who busted Jerry, though he didn't know it was Jerry at the time. He tells her all about raising Hannah. He tells her that he loves her, but she asks him to leave. (3/27)
  • While Bobbie checks in at Kelly's, Roy updates Hannah on Bobbie's rescue and tells her that he told Bobbie the truth about working for the FBI. Later, Larkin tries to question Bobbie, but Roy stops him. Larkin threatens to send him back to jail. Roy promises that he won't lie again, but Bobbie wants more. (3/28)
  • Taggert admires Hannah's outfit; she's on her way to a meeting with Ford. Hannah tries to quit the FBI, but Ford tells her she can't until Sonny is in custody. Larkin puts in his two cents as well. They don't trust her not to help him. She returns to Kelly's and meets Taggert again, and he tries to get her to look at the bright side. (3/30)
  • While Bobbie's over at the penthouse talking with Carly about their respective man troubles, Sonny makes Roy a business offer. Later, Hannah tells Roy that the FBI won't let her go, but she's glad to hear that he sees that Sonny can come through. Later, she celebrates with Larkin and they see Sonny and Carly together at the grill and witness the fight with AJ. Bobbie is still angry, but she refuses to let Roy end up in jail. He tells her that he's going to come clean with Sonny and face the FBI. (3/31)

I. Dara Doesn't Like It (3/1)

Dara: "She's looking at obstruction of justice, and it looks to me like Hannah's a problem you can do without. That's all I'm trying to say. So whatever that's worth."
Taggert: "Look, I know what you're trying to say. But me and Hannah, we're just friends."
Dara: "Ok. Just friends."
Taggert: "Yep. And I plan to keep it that way."

II. Let's Call the Whole Thing Off...Or Not (3/1)

Roy: "I shouldn't have done that."
Bobbie: "Well, if I thought you were out of line, I wouldn't have kissed you back. Roy, you didn't do anything wrong."
Roy: "I crossed a line. I don't have the right to be that close to you now."

Bobbie: "I mean, whatever's happened, that doesn't necessarily make us different people."
Roy: "What if it does?"
Bobbie: "We could start over."

Bobbie: "So what are you trying to tell me?"
Roy: "That it's not right--it's not right to be trying to resurrect some retro version of us when the truth is that if things don't work out for me, I'll be gone."

Bobbie: "I didn't realize that you were tearing yourself to pieces over this, so why don't we just call it a kiss between old friends?"

Amy: "The low-cut top Bobbie had on when she went to visit Roy...er...Luke at his office served her well as she bent over the desk towards Roy. *G* I've just watched a couple of days that were, for me, all about Roy and Bobbie, and I really enjoyed them, though the rest of the episode was slow both days (somebody get rid of Juan, please?)."

Bobbie: "How Carly can completely miss what's right in front of her while she pines away for something she can't have. What?"
Tony: "I hope you don't take this wrong, but in this case, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."

On that, I expected that if Carly were on this episode, we would have cut to her. Instead, we cut to Roy.

Hannah: "Were you in love with her?"
Roy: "What do you think?"
Hannah: "Are you still?"

Roy looks away at Hannah's question.

Tony: "The whole time we were married, I always felt that no matter how happy we were, there was a part of you that I couldn't reach."

Bobbie: "It would feel to me like at times all those feelings would just come floating up to the surface, so maybe I never really got over him. You know, Carly picked up on it the day I was supposed to marry Jerry, so I guess it takes one to know one, huh?"
Tony: "Well, now that Roy's back--"
Bobbie: "Oh, nothing's changed. Not for me, anyway, but--I'm beginning to think maybe it's too late."

Hannah: "I don't want you making the same mistake I made with Sonny."
Roy: "It's not the same thing, Hannah."
Hannah: "It sounds pretty similar. As soon as I knew I was in deep, I should have told Sonny I was an agent. I lost him because I waited. I let my job stand between me and love, and I have to live with that. What I'm trying to tell you is, don't let anything come between the two of you, dad. And don't wait, because if you love Bobbie, tell her."

Amy: "But Hannah? When she decided to have attitude with Mike and Tammy? She is teetering very close to replacing Katherine as my most hated. AND GET HER OFF OF LUKE'S DESK!!!! The director should be smart enough about Luke's office--heck, Roy usually pulls in a barstool to work on, in these same scenes, though he sometimes sits in Luke's chair--metaphorically speaking, to not put Hannah perched up on the edge where Felicia and Bobbie sit. It just ain't right."

Bobbie: "I'm not sure that Roy and I could start over even if we tried."
Tony: "Well, isn't it worth a try?"
Bobbie: "It's been 20 years. And we're different people now. There's no denying that."
Tony: "You know what's not changed, though, is how you look when you're trying to convince yourself of something that you don't believe for one second."

Bobbie: "I didn't expect to see you here again today."
Roy: "Yeah, I--the tax prep people sent your tax forms to the club by accident, so I just thought I'd bring them over."
Bobbie: "Oh. So are you hungry? I could whip up a sandwich or something."
Roy: "You know, there's nobody--there's nobody over there, so I'd better get back to the club. But I'll take a rain check."
Bobbie: "Ok."
Roy: "Ok. So, I'll see you."
Bobbie: "See you."
Roy: "Ok."

In the last segment of today's show, we went from Ned and Alexis, to Jax and Chloe, to Emily and Juan, to Bobbie and Roy. We would have this kind of progression on other days this month: romance, romance, romance, split romance. I liked the effect; it built expectation and emphasized the "one of these things is not like the other...but should be" quality of the last pair shown. I don't know if this is what was going on in the episode about which Terry said she would have changed the order of the last segment, but I do know that it happened at one point with L&L, putting them in the last, weighted spot. I also don't know, I'm sorry to say, if it was the same scriptwriter on the two examples I noticed.

III. Hannah and Dara Face Off Over Taggert (3/8)

Dara: "I happen to think that you're still hung up on Sonny. Given the opportunity, you would protect him. Both of those possibilities could mean trouble for Taggert."
Hannah: "Well, if you want to warn him about me, go ahead. He just walked in the door now."

Dara: "Remember what I said?"
Hannah: "I'm sure if I forget, you'll remind me."

Taggert: "What was that all about?"
Hannah: "You."

Hannah: "You told me you and Dara were over. But are you sure she feels the same way?"

We had more Tammy v. Hannah in these scenes, and Hannah just rolled her eyes at Tammy's clear distinction between serving Taggert and not serving her. At least Hannah kept her mouth shut this time, though she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to give her opinion to Sonny later. Why does she set herself up to be slammed? Why not ignore them? I admit it: she irritates me, so probably she couldn't win either way. *G*

IV. Overhearing Mob Business Behind a Door in Luke's Office: The Sequel (3/9)

Roy: "I'm glad you're still here."
Bobbie: "Why? Cards on the table and all that?"

Roy looks put out with Bobbie at this point, knowing now for certain that she overheard his conversation with Luke about her.

Bobbie: "You're doing another job for Sonny, aren't you?"
Roy: "Yes, I am."
Bobbie: "You realize this puts my brother at risk, too."
Roy: "Uh-uh. I'm being careful."
Bobbie: "Careful? These people don't understand careful, Roy. And if anything happens to this club--look, Luke has all he can deal with right now."

Bobbie: "Oh, Roy--get out of it."
Roy: "I can't."
Bobbie: "Sorel nearly killed Jason. You can't do this."
Roy: "I can and I will. I will. It's my way out."
Bobbie: "Way out of what? What? Working for a living? Oh, come on, Roy. No amount of money is worth it."
Roy: "It's not about the money! It's not about money. It's about a goal that I have and the need to get to it."
Bobbie: "And then what? What? Are you free and clear?"
Roy: "Yeah."
Bobbie: "You know it doesn't work that way."
Roy: "I know it didn't work that way before. This time it will be different."
Bobbie: "Why?"
Roy: "Because I'm going to make it be different."

Bobbie: "You're having meetings here now?"
Roy: "It's not a meeting. It's a conversation."

Benny: "So we are going to provide a limo, guards--"
Roy: "No, no, no, no. I work solo."
Benny: "Listen to me! Mr. Corinthos wants security in this meeting."
Roy: "I prefer to be responsible for my own security."
Benny: "Do you realize that Jason Morgan was shot in his last meeting with Sorel?"
Roy: "Uh-huh. He had the guards and the limo, didn't he?"
Benny: "Yes, he did."
Roy: "Like I said, I work solo."

V. Bobbie Tries to Change Roy's Mind (3/10)

Sorel: "Corinthos is a major obstacle. Now we're going to have to look somewhere else for a bargaining chip to get him out of the way."

Bobbie: "I didn't expect to see you again."
Roy: "Yeah, I'm sorry I bit your head off earlier. You make me crazy when you push."
Bobbie: "It's ok. I'm sorry, too. Um, so is there any chance you changed your mind about that meeting tonight? Would you like to have dinner with me instead?"
Roy: "I'd love to have dinner with you instead. Could we do it tomorrow night?"
Bobbie: "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't walk over to Sonny right now and ask him to fire you."
Roy: "Oh, I don't know. Maybe because I'm asking you not to."

Bobbie entered behind Ned and Chloe's conversation. We were having more scenes in which characters from different storylines were actually in the same room together, but I longed for some real contact between them! Roy, on the other hand, slinked in at the door and Bobbie ran to meet him.

From Terry: "Kelly's: Roy shows up, and Bobbie rushes away from Mike to talk to him. She tries to persuade him to skip the meeting with Sorel and have dinner with her instead. He demures."

Roy: "Would you really walk up to Sonny, my boss, and ask him to fire me?"
Bobbie: "What's the point? It wouldn't do any good. You're the one I have to convince."

Roy: "I'm not Jason, Bobbie."
Bobbie: "That doesn't make you safe."
Roy: "And I'm sorry that you're upset. It makes me feel terrible that I make you feel bad, but I told you I have to make my own choices in this."
Bobbie: "I just wish you weren't so set on making the wrong ones."
Roy: "Does that mean you won't have dinner with me tomorrow night?"
Bobbie: "You know I want that more than anything. So promise me you'll be careful."
Roy: "I promise."
Bobbie: "Mean it, Roy. Because if something happens to you, I don't think I could forgive you."

Bobbie: "Be careful tonight."
Roy: "I will be. I'm not going to do anything to miss that dinner. I'll see you."

Terry continues: "Bobbie is worried about Roy. (See, that's the problem with many of today's scenes--they recapitulate rather than move things forward, which would be okay if there were some sparkle to the scenes. Unfortunately, they are not memorable.)"
