TO: GHR
From: Angela Walker
Date: 23 May 2000

At this time, I am so disappointed in GH. I really wanted Carly to have this baby for Sonny because of all the tragedy for him. I just knew after the fall at the grill that you would allow Carly to continue with this pregnancy with no problems. After reviewing my vcr tape of the episode of the May 22nd episode, I know that the decision will be for Sonny to lose his baby that he so wanted, and to save Carly. Not to say that is bad, but it just seemed that Sonny would finally get the family that he wants. I can also see that he will fall back into his depressed self, and I can see myself crying when he cries. I really wish that GH would have gone a different route with this story, but I do understand it's for ratings. Maybe one day.

From the Editor:

We always appreciate letters about the show marked for inclusion in the GHR. We like seeing what our readers think about the storylines, and we want to give them a way to share those opinions.

Angela's note, like many others we receive, is phrased in such a way as to make it sound like she is addressing the writers or producers of GH, whether that was her intention or not. We are not affiliated with the show, and Angela--and others--who wish to send in their opinion to GH can find ways to contact the studio at Soap Zone (formerly Port Charles Online).

Q: Who was Kimberly Ann Robinson?

We had over 35 emails regarding the memorial message that aired at the end of GH on a mid-May episode. We're flattered that you consider us a dependable source, and we do try to answer questions that come our way. But as our Feedback Form indicates, we are not equipped to answer questions about production, nor can we answer day-to-day questions that come up regarding the show. The best we can do is try to find the answer and give it to everybody at the same time in the next issue. Since we are not affiliated with the show, we can only do as you do, and search the various GH websites, messages boards, and newsgroups for the answers.

My apologies, then, to all of you who wrote in and have waited so long to hear an answer. If you're still waiting, here it is:

For this one, my bet was on the official ABC website. Indeed, ABC Tim had this to say the day after the memorial aired: "At the end of GENERAL HOSPITAL yesterday, a message appeared on the screen saying that the episode had been dedicated to the memory of Kimberly Ann Robinson. Wendy Riche, GH's executive producer, has issued the following statement: "She was a dear member of the 'General Hospital' family who served as a grip on our night crew and will always remain a friend in our hearts. She will be terribly missed."
