Nikolas decides to confront Helena to discover Lucky's location, but Elizabeth finds him first, when they come face to face. (4/28)

I. Man from Heaven (4/17)

Lesley Lu: "Lucky, you're back from heaven."
Lucky: "Oh. I missed you. Every day. And you're even more beautiful than I remember."
Lesley Lu: "Mommy said you flew with the angels in heaven."
Lucky: "But we don't see them the way we see each other. We see them here and here, in our hearts."
Lesley Lu: "Will you come back from heaven and see me again?"
Lucky: "As often as I can. But we got to keep it our secret, ok? You can't tell mom and dad that you saw me. Can you keep that secret?"

Lucky: "I'll come back, I promise."
Lesley: "You hear me? Honey?"
Lucky: "I love you."

II. If I Can Make it There, I'll Make it Anywhere (4/17)

Elizabeth: "You feel it, too? Like we're being guided to right where he is?"
Nikolas: "Yes, I do. You know, we owe the waitress at the triple l for cluing us in to where Lucky was headed."
Elizabeth: "Mm-hmm. You know, when she said that Lucky was focused on the future, I knew. It was like he was sending me a message--meet him at Greenwich Village, south of 14th street. That's where all our dreams for the future were."

Elizabeth: "I'm talking about the one on Washington Square Park. Why, what were you thinking of?"
Nikolas: "The Plaza Hotel."

Nikolas: "Well, I don't know any downtown hotels."
Elizabeth: "Well, I do, and we don't need reservations."

Nikolas: "Ok. From now on, you are the official tour guide. We will hit all the places that you and Lucky visited, everything he liked."
Elizabeth: "Ok. First stop--it should be the apartment building we were going to live in. Or maybe not. After we get rid of our bags at the hotel, we should look for a used clothing store."
Nikolas: "What do you want to do with used clothing?"
Elizabeth: "You'll see."

Nikolas: "I've never worn clothes someone else has worn first."

Elizabeth: "But you know what? Maybe we're just going to walk right in or turn a corner and there he'll be."
Nikolas: "Yep."

III. A Friend of My Father's (4/17)

Sandy: "Things going better for you now?"
Lucky: "Today was great. I went to Port Charles. I saw my sister."

Mike: "So, tell me, were you serious about those tickets to the Aerosmith concert?"
Sandy: "They're yours if you want them. It's a sold-out concert."
Mike: "Mm-hmm. Well, I will be glad to take them off your hands. See, the lady that I'm seeing is a very big fan. And I want you and Harry to meet her sometime. Her name's Tammy."
Sandy: "Sounds serious."
Mike: "Could be."

Lucky: "I know mike. He's a friend of my dad's."
Sandy: "And you couldn't say hello?"
Lucky: "I don't want my folks knowing where I am. If mike saw me and I asked him not to say anything, he'd be in the middle between me and my parents."
Sandy: "For someone who doesn't want to run into their parents, you spend a whole lot of time in Port Charles."
Lucky: "I don't want to lose touch with my brother and sister."
Sandy: "They could come here."
Lucky: "Thank you, but my sister's not old enough to go anywhere alone."
Sandy: "And your brother?"
Lucky: "I haven't connected with him yet."
Sandy: "Hmm."
Lucky: "I know my family must seem weird to you."
Sandy: "You got problems. What family doesn't? The important thing is that you try to work it out because if you don't, you'll always have to keep running. Now, what kind of life is that?"

Lucky: "If there's a choice between facing off with my parents and moving on, I'll go."
Sandy: "Whatever they did really made you angry."
Lucky: "It's in the past. Friends helped me work that out, move on with my life. I'll never go back."
Sandy: "Well, what about your future?"
Lucky: "The future's all I think about now."
Sandy: "Do you have any idea where you want to go, what you want to do?"
Lucky: "Yeah, I know--the place, even the street."

IV. Mistaken Identity (4/19)

Elizabeth: "I guess I was just hoping that he'd know I was here, you know, that our paths would magically intersect right where we wanted to start our life together. I'm sounding ridiculous, huh?"
Nikolas: "Hopeful's more like it."
Elizabeth: "But, you know, going back there, it was kind of like I thought we had the wrong address, you know, because without Lucky, it just seemed so different, wrong. You know, I got this chill going up the back of my neck, like what if I just dreamed all this up and none of it even existed?"
Nikolas: "Like your future's just disintegrating right in front of you."
Elizabeth: "Oh, Nikolas, I'm--I'm sorry. I know how badly you wanted a life of your own."
Nikolas: "And as Lucky as the brother I was just getting to know. And if I want to get to know him any better, first, we have to find him. Any suggestions?"
Elizabeth: "You know what? I'm going to take that pretzel vendor as a sign we should stay put. I'm going to set up shop as a street artist, and who knows? Maybe Lucky will just walk by."
Nikolas: "Yeah, that's not unlikely."
Elizabeth: "Or maybe he'll feel us reaching out to him. But either way, I'm going to need a subject, so any volunteers?"
Nikolas: "Well, I've always wanted my portrait done, especially by an artist destined for great fame."
Elizabeth: "Well, then, sir, today you get your wish."
Nikolas: "Ah."
Elizabeth: "We both will. I hope."

Elizabeth: "I saw that guy from behind. I was sure it was Lucky. I--"
Nikolas: "That's ok. Come on, come on. Hey, we'll find him, ok? We just got to keep at it."
Elizabeth: "How could I mistake someone else for Lucky? I mean, what does that say?"
Nikolas: "When you want to find something bad enough, you just start seeing it everywhere."
Elizabeth: "But I thought I could recognize Lucky anywhere--from behind, in the dark, in a crowd, because I know him so well here. But if I can't tell Lucky from a stranger just a few yards away, if I can't trust my heart, what hope do I have of finding him?"

Nikolas: "Lucky and I were just starting to get tight before the fire. And I felt cheated, and I still do. I want my brother back."
Elizabeth: "You know, all this is starting to make me realize how long it's been since we've really seen him. We have no idea what he's done this year or who he's met, how it's changed him, how he feels about anything, much less me. You know, I keep having this terrible thought. What if our time together didn't mean as much to Lucky as it does to me? Maybe he's not even anywhere in New York or anyplace that was special to us. Maybe he just moved on and never looked back, forgot all about Port Charles and everybody in it, including me."
Nikolas: "No, no, no. Look, we can't drive ourselves crazy thinking about this. We won't know anything until we find him, but I do know he loves you. I'm sure of it. I watched the two of you. The way he felt about you, I don't think he could have hidden that, even if he tried. Besides, is there anything that could make you love Lucky less? Time apart? Distance?"
Elizabeth: "Nothing."
Nikolas: "Then you know what? I can't believe for a second that his feelings for you have changed. He loves you, Elizabeth, and I know that he is going to tell you how much the minute we find him."
Elizabeth: "Thank you for being such an incredible friend."
Nikolas: "Anytime."

Amy: "I'm extremely sick of the Nikolas and Liz stuff. This would have been one thing if, instead of the detour through Jason-land, Elizabeth had truly turned to Nikolas in the past few months so that she would have to face the guilt of really moving on from Lucky when the news came down about his being alive."

"By the time we got to the cheap gifts from Canada scene back last year or so, I was completely bored with Liz and Lucky, so I wasn't very invested in it. But I really didn't like the re-creation of that scene with the new actor. The scene sucked even harder this time, and I was grumpy that the first time we saw Liz and Lucky meet, post-recast, was in a recreated flashback. We've waited so long to see Lucky come face to face with anybody, and now we get a remade flashback and Mike? (Not that I'm complaining about Mike, mind you!) I wish they hadn't done it. Or maybe used a montage of scenes on the docks where we only saw the back of Jackson's head--a music montage, so we wouldn't hear the different voice, etc.?"

V. The Trouble Continues (4/20, 4/21)

Kirk: "Well, you said he was your brother. You don't know what he looks like?"
Nikolas: "No, I do. But before I spend my money, I want to make sure that you do."
Kirk: "He's about my height, blond hair."
Nikolas: "What color eyes?"
Kirk: "I don't know. I don't pay a lot of attention to other guys' eyes."
Elizabeth: "I'm sure you must have noticed his music, though. Lucky was an amazing piano player."
Kirk: "Yeah, he sat down at the keyboard, blew the people away."
Elizabeth: "You jerk."

Man: "How much for a portrait?"
Elizabeth: "I don't do portraits."
Man: "For something else?"
Elizabeth: "$10 a picture."
Man: "What if I want more than a picture?"
Elizabeth: "Then you're in the wrong place. All I sell are sketches."
Man: "You know, there's an easier way for a pretty girl like you to make money. Serious money."
Elizabeth: "Leave me alone."
Man: "No need to be rude. Let's go for a ride."
Elizabeth: "Get away from me."
Man: "You're coming with me, little girl."

On the next day:

Elizabeth: "You know what he said to me? 'Not another word.'"
Nikolas: "Like your rapist."
Elizabeth: "You know, there was a time when hearing those words when would have paralyzed me. But I didn't freak, Nikolas. I got angry because I knew this guy was going to hurt me and there was no way in hell I was going to get in his car."
Nikolas: "Hey, I'm proud of you. And Lucky would be, too."
Elizabeth: "He never missed a chance to tell me that I was stronger than I know."

Elizabeth: "You know, for a second, it was like being back in the park when I was raped and Lucky found me. You know, I was--one minute I was alone, and the next minute I wasn't. And that's when I knew I was going to survive. Maybe that's how Lucky is now--alone and afraid. If he's running, it's because there's something wrong I have to find him. Nikolas, I have to help him."

Elizabeth: "Yeah, but if Lucky's looking for me, this is where he'd come and he'd wait. And if he wants me to find him, this is where he'd be."
Nikolas: "Are you saying that you want to go back to Port Charles?"
Elizabeth: "No. I mean, maybe Lucky's just making his way across country still. Ok, we should wait."

Elizabeth: "Nikolas, I couldn't have done this alone. Thank you for being here for me."

Terry: "Someone please teach Elizabeth to talk. One more 'couldn't' and I shall scream; she pronounces words with that 'ld' sound so poorly. And what is going on with her hair? I swear, on Friday, when she wore that odd cocker-spaniel ponytail look, I didn't recognize her."

Judy: "Robin used to do the same thing. I suspect it's a west coast teen thing, but it bugs me too. An actor should have better diction."

VI. Mike Agrees to Keep Lucky's Secret (4/21)

Mike: "My god, Lucky. It is you. It's true. You're alive."
Lucky: "Mike, you can't tell anybody--"
Mike: "This is like seeing a miracle. I mean, when I heard, I couldn't believe that you--"
Lucky: "Mike, listen--"
Mike: "That you were still--everyone is looking for you."
Lucky: "It was--you've got to listen to me."
Mike: "Or has someone found you?"
Lucky: "I don't want to be found. You can't tell anybody you've seen me."

Lucky: "Mike, I'm free. I want it to stay that way."

Lucky: "Leave it to my parents to leave out the details. I hit my father."
Mike: "Why?"
Lucky: "Because being in captivity for a year gave me a lot of time to think about some things--things that I don't necessarily want to be a part of. I came back to Port Charles to see my little sister and brother. That's it. I'd just as soon avoid seeing everybody else altogether."
Mike: "Even Elizabeth?"

Lucky: "Too many things are different, mike. Elizabeth and I can't be together anymore."
Mike: "Oh, what's different?"
Lucky: "I can't pretend that this last year hasn't happened. She has had a year to grow and change, and so have I. We just can't go back to the way it was."
Mike: "Lucky, does Elizabeth have a vote?"
Lucky: "I know what I'm doing. Now, either you can keep my being here a secret and allow me to have a chance to see my sister a few more times or you can go blow this and tell somebody and I will split."
Mike: "Oh, man. All right, all right, all right. Listen, I don't want to be the one that--that drives you away. This doesn't sit well, but I--I won't say anything."

At this point, I wondered if Lucky sort of wanted to be found, wandering as he was out on the docks, where everybody and their mother walks lately. He stuck around, also, to listen in on Mike and AJ, and I wondered if we were going to see him start storing up information before his return. But he remained isolated with the teens. Later, he sat on the bench with at photo of Elizabeth at the fire and his eyes began to water.

Here's Terry's update of the scenes today:

"We begin with a follow-up to the Thursday cliffhanger. Mike is on the docks, and has come face to face with Lucky. Mike is thrilled to see the boy, but Lucky insists the older man cannot tell anyone about their meeting. 'I don't want to be found.'"

"Meanwhile, in New York, Liz is being hassled in the park by a pimp. She has her hair up, btw, in odd little curly ponytails close to her head, which caused my son to ask, as he strolled by the screen, 'Who's that girl?' She calls for help and Nik comes flying into the shot. He attacks the pimp and chases the bad guy off."

"Mike assumes someone is after Lucky, and volunteers to take him to Sonny for protection until Luke gets back to town. Lucky won't consider it: 'I'm free. I want it to stay that way.' He tells Mike he punched Luke out and doesn't want to see him parents. He's only in town to see Lulu. Mike asks about Elizabeth and Lucky looks troubled."

"Speaking of Liz, she is thanking Nik for helping her out of trouble. 'I needed you and you were there,' she says, continuing the cliche-ladened dialogue style of the day. She brings up her rape and how Lucky had helped her afterward, as Nik has helped her now, and talks about how Lucky would tell her she was stronger than she gave herself credit for. She wants to find Lucky so she can help him as he used to help her."

"Mike urges Lucky to talk to Elizabeth, but Lucky says things have changed and he can't go back to how things were before. Lucky insists he'll split if Mike talks to anyone about him, so Mike reluctantly agrees to keep silent."

"Commercials split the scene, and as we return, AJ approaches but does not see Lucky, who disappears quickly. AJ offers to pay Mike to arrange for him to see Michael."

"Liz is now saying she doubts Lucky has come to Greenwich Village after all. Nik convinces her to wait there a while longer. They make plans to scout out a coffee house in case Lucky shows up to perform there and earn some money."
