Roy and Bobbie:

  • Bobbie explains Roy's real situation to Hannah. Hannah has her doubts, but Taggert mentions Roy's record, and she has to accept the truth. Later, Bobbie goes to see Roy in jail, and he tells her that Larkin is a threat to Sonny, but that he does not want her putting her own life in danger. (4/17)
  • Bobbie gives Sonny Roy's warning; he tells her not to visit Roy anymore, but she won't listen. Meanwhile, Larkin threatens Hannah to keep Roy in line. Hannah visits Roy in prison and tells him that she loves him. He tells her to stay out of it, and she plays it nice with Larkin. At the same time, Bobbie goes to Kelly's because she can't visit, and Tammy tries to comfort her. Bobbie then has a run-in with AJ, who wants to see Michael. (4/18)
  • Tony tells Bobbie that he's going to have the surgery on his hand. Later, she and Rae talk about long-lost daughters. (4/20)
  • Larkin threatens Roy and arranges for another prisoner to beat him up. Roy tells Bobbie that he doesn't want her coming to the prison anymore. It puts her in danger and he doesn't want her to have to be there, even for him. (4/20)
  • Roy finds out that the other guys in the jail know that he's a snitch for the FBI. Two inmates attack him and beat him up. Meanwhile, Bobbie turns to Alexis, hoping to find some legal way to get Roy out of prison. The answer isn't what she wanted to hear. (4/21)
  • A guard steps in and breaks up the fight, saving Roy's life. Later, he lets Roy know that he's on Sonny's payroll. Meanwhile, Bobbie keeps Hannah from striking a deal with Larkin and asks her to talk to Roy and convince him to let Bobbie come to visit him. (4/24)
  • Roy agrees to let Bobbie come and see him when Hannah intervenes. He's nervous, however, to learn that he's going to be moved to another prison. Meanwhile, Bobbie learns from Alexis that there's nothing she can do, but runs to see Roy when Hannah returns. (4/27)
  • At the prison, Bobbie finds out that Roy's been transferred. Bobbie confronts Sonny for not doing anything to help Roy (not knowing about the guard), and is stunned when Carly takes his side against her. At the same time, the van transferring Roy crashes. (4/28)

I. Hannah Learns the Truth (4/17)

Bobbie: "Hannah, your father is a good man. He's devoted his life to you. He did whatever it took to keep you with him."
Hannah: "I know."
Bobbie: "But Roy is not an FBI agent. He never was. He's an informant."

Bobbie: "Honey--honey, this is the truth. Roy asked me to tell you. 20 years ago, Roy made a deal with the FBI. It was his only way out of a life sentence. Roy is a convicted felon."

Bobbie: "This is no lie. When your father and I first fell in love, he was working for a crime boss named frank smith."
Hannah: "Oh, no, no, no, no."
Bobbie: "And I thought after we got engaged that he would walk away from that life. But he never did. Finally he got shot down while he was trying to kill a public official. The FBI took him to prison, and they offered him a deal--a reduced sentence in exchange for testimony, 25 years instead of life."
Hannah: "Yeah, but my father did not go to prison. He was with me most of the time I was growing up."
Bobbie: "Because that's what your father wanted more than anything. He wanted you to have your childhood with him. You are the reason he kept working for the FBI."
Hannah: "Yeah, well, of course he kept working for the FBI--"
Bobbie: "As an informant, honey. Not as an agent. He's become a member of gangs, he's gotten into organizations like Sonny's, and he would bring in the evidence to convict. And in exchange, the FBI offered him time on the outside to be with you."
Hannah: "I can't believe any of this until I hear it from him."
Bobbie: "He wanted to tell you himself. He tried. When Larkin had him taken to Pentonville, he was trying to find you. He couldn't."
Hannah: "Wait a minute. Larkin was the one that took my dad to prison?"
Bobbie: "Larkin claims that Roy's cover is blown. And since he can't bring in the evidence to convict Sonny, he has to serve out the last five years of his original term."

Bobbie: "If you want to go see your dad, I will go to Pentonville with you."
Hannah: "No, I don't know what I'm going to do."
Bobbie: "Let me help."
Hannah: "No, you can't. I just--I just need to be alone right now."

Taggert: "Well, there's a file on Dilucca back at the department, goes back over 20 years. He grew up here as a kid, was always in trouble. I mean, it figures he'd end up with Corinthos sooner or later."
Hannah: "Did he ever do any real time?"
Taggert: "They sent him up for attempted murder once. He should have gotten life. You know, he made some kind of deal with the FBI. Why are you so interested?"
Hannah: "Roy Dilucca's my father."

Hannah: "And you know what's funny is that you and Roy were actually on the same side for a little while. You both were after Sonny."

Taggert: "And your father couldn't get the goods, either."
Hannah: "I don't know. I guess, like you said, Sonny's untouchable."
Taggert: "But your father isn't?"
Hannah: "They're making him finish his time."
Taggert: "Whatever else your father's life has been about, your father raised you to be the real thing. You know, maybe you're the person he always wanted to be if he'd had that opportunity. Hmm? That's the truth that you have to hold on to."

II. Visiting Hours are Nine to Five (4/17, 4/18, 4/20)

Larkin: "You're a special case, Dilucca. You get my personal attention."

Roy: "Bobbie and Hannah have nothing to do with this."
Larkin: "Finally we agree. They'll both be fine as long as you cooperate."

Roy: "I bluffed. You called. Not about to pull that number again."

Roy: "You shouldn't be here."
Bobbie: "Neither should you."

Bobbie: "She's strong, like you. So she'll handle it."
Roy: "But I'm her father, and I lied to her. She must feel betrayed."
Bobbie: "She loves you. So once the shock wears off, the love will still be there."
Roy: "I want to see her."
Bobbie: "I think she needs a little time."
Roy: "Yeah, well, you warned me about the cost of telling lies all the time. I wanted to think that I was protecting her, you know."
Bobbie: "You were."
Roy: "I was protecting myself. I wasn't willing to risk the truth because I thought maybe I'd lose her. I can't believe I did that to my little girl."

Bobbie: "You haven't lost Hannah. She loves you."
Roy: "I need to see her so that I can answer her questions."
Bobbie: "Well, maybe you don't have to wait for Hannah to come to you. Maybe you'll be able to go see her."

Roy: "Bobbie, you stay out of this. John Larkin is nobody to mess with."
Bobbie: "Well, neither is a mutual friend of ours--a recent employer of yours. I met with him today. And there are no guarantees, but he said he would try. So you have a chance."
Roy: "Ok. You need to go back to our mutual friend and warn him. Any move he makes, he could be walking into a setup. Larkin has already maneuvered chief agent ford out of his job using bogus charges. I'm sure he'll do his best to see that our mutual friend takes the rap for it."
Bobbie: "Tell me who to see at FBI headquarters. I'll go to Washington. If I report Larkin, they'll investigate him. Maybe we can get you out of here."
Roy: "One more time--you must stay out of this. I'm warning you. Don't do anything."

Roy: "You've got Lucas and Carly and your grandchildren to think about. They need you alive and well, and so do I. Promise me you're not going to go stirring up trouble with Larkin."
Bobbie: "What? Let him get away with it?"
Roy: "Let him think he is. Do not confront him. Do not report him. Don't even let on you know anything, Bobbie."
Bobbie: "You don't make it easy."
Roy: "It's my problem. I need you to let me handle it. You got to promise."
Bobbie: "Ok, ok. I promise."

Larkin: "You look upset. I hope Dilucca didn't say anything to disturb you."
Bobbie: "Oh. It's this place. It's--it just hurts seeing someone I love in here."
Larkin: "I understand."
Bobbie: "Thanks for asking."

On the next day:

Larkin: "You do understand our deal, right?"
Roy: "The one where I rot in prison and you set up innocent people?"

Roy: "Bobbie told you."
Hannah: "I really need to hear your side."
Roy: "I know."
Roy: "20 years ago, I covered a hit for Luke."
Hannah: "You shot a state senator?"
Roy: "Yes."
Hannah: "Why?"
Roy: "It's complicated. It seemed at the time like it was our only way out."
Hannah: "Out? Out of organized crime?"
Roy: "Yeah."
Hannah: "How did you end up shot?"
Roy: "The senator's security guards."
Hannah: "And then Bobbie and Luke left you on the sidewalk?"
Roy: "They had no choice. I woke up in the hospital. The feds offered me a deal--25 years instead of life if I agreed to testify against frank. So I did. And then somehow they found out that your mother had abandoned you. They let me know that you would become a ward of the state unless I continued to work with them."
Hannah: "So I'm the reason."
Roy: "Hannah, you needed me. They offered me a chance to be around you. I wanted to be your dad."
Hannah: "Yeah, but you lied to me. You lied to my face every day of my life! You let me believe you were a big FBI agent."
Roy: "Yes, I did."
Hannah: "Why couldn't you have told me the truth?"

Roy: "Hannah, I didn't feel I could tell you the truth, not when you were a little kid. You'd already lost your mother. And you didn't nee to know that the FBI could take your dad away on a moment's notice."
Hannah: "So when I thought that you were off on some big case, you were really in prison?"
Roy: "I was really in prison. I was usually in prison. Sometimes I was working undercover."
Hannah: "Well, what about when I got older? Why couldn't you have told me then?"
Roy: "Baby, all my life I've been nothing. I've been a two--two-bit hood, a wannabe, an inmate, a nobody. When I was working undercover, they had me typecast as this succession of phony lowlifes. But when I was home with you, I could be daddy, the great FBI agent, this perfect guy that i would see in your eyes. And I wanted to be that guy. So I was."
Hannah: "Were you ever going to tell me the truth? Huh?"
Roy: "Corinthos was supposed to be my last job. It wouldn't have mattered."
Hannah: "So you were going to lie to me forever?"
Roy: "Probably."
Hannah: "I trusted you. You were my whole life. You were the only one I could trust."
Roy: "And I screwed it up. I'm beyond sorry. But I think I'd do it again if I thought it would keep you safe, give you a chance to be happy. I love you."
Hannah: "Don't you understand? I love you, too."

Hannah: "How could you think I wouldn't love you? I don't care what you did before. That perfect man that you saw, he's right in front of me."
Roy: "Baby, thank you."
Hannah: "I'm going to get you out of here."
Roy: "No, I need you to stay--I need you to stay out of it."
Hannah: "I'm going to get you out of here. I mean it."
Larkin: "Isn't this touching?"

Hannah: "I want to help."
Roy: "Ok. You want to help, stay out of this."

Larkin: "Must've been a shock finding out the truth about your dad."
Hannah: "My dad loves me, and nothing else matters."
Larkin: "I'm glad you feel that way."
Hannah: "Larkin, I know you and I have had our problems, but can't we work together? Can't we find a way to help him?"
Larkin: "You know how the bureau works."
Hannah: "It's so unfair."
Larkin: "My hands are tied. But if I think of anything, I'll let you know."
Hannah: "Thank you."
Larkin: "I'll be in touch."

Hannah: "I love you, daddy."
