Taggert/Hannah/AJ:
- Taggert and Hannah have plans for the picnic, but AJ arrives first and crashes
Hannah's blanket. She dodges and parries, but he's still there, insisting that
she likes him more than she lets on, when Taggert arrives. (7/4)
- Taggert sends AJ away, so he goes to Kelly's and starts playing kamikaze stock
market. Dara is amazed, but as she leaves with her takeout, she tells Taggert
that they're all pulling double shifts until they find Ted Wilson, a missing undercover
cop. Taggert leaves, and Hannah stays. She tries to convince AJ not to waste his
money and ruin his life, but he's having fun. And besides, he's got her attention
again, which was the whole point. (7/5)
- When Hannah turns down his dividend check and his invitation for a date, AJ
decides to tag along with her to a crime scene. (7/11)
- Taggert, meanwhile, goes to talk to Emily about Juan. Later, he meets Mac
at Kelly's. (7/11)
- Though Hannah says no, AJ holds her keys hostage until she lets him ride with
her to the crime scene. AJ generally makes a nuisance of himself and Hannah has
to claim that he's her assistant so that the detective doesn't ask any more questions.
AJ tells her that she'll soon find out that she does want to date him, and comes
up with an idea that may actually help her out with the case. She keeps turning
him down, though. Meanwhile, Taggert watches them, and later asks Hannah if anything
interesting happened; she says no. He invites her to dinner at his place for the
next night; she says yes. (7/12)
I. The Fourth of July Picnic (7/4)
Hannah: "I thought you'd never get here."
A.J.: "I'm worth the wait."
Hannah: "A.J., what are you doing here?"
A.J.: "Making your day. Ok, I was looking for my little sister, and here you were
in desperate need of a strawberry. More?"
A.J.: "Dinner, then, tomorrow night. Oh, come on. What are you going to do? You
going to let me starve to death or what?"
Hannah: "You think because I don't want you to drink I won't let you starve?"
A.J.: "I think you won't let me starve because you'd miss me."
Hannah: "Yeah, I'd miss you. You're my friend. But Taggert's my guy."
A.J.: "I'm going to be sick, you know."
Hannah: "Oh, is that before or after you starve to death?"
A.J.: "In your heart of hearts, be honest. You have fun with me."
Hannah: "Yes, I have fun with you--when you're sober. That's why you don't stand
a chance."
A.J.: "Aha! If I stand a chance sober, that means that deep down you want me."
A.J.: "You know, it's only a matter of time before you take me as-is."
Hannah: "Dream on, A.J."
Taggert: "About what?"
Terry: "Judy, I thought of you when AJ fed Hannah the strawberry. It
was a nicely sensual scene--loved that she didn't realize it was him. I want that
strawberry, by the way--it was HUGE. Anyway, AJ was nice to watch yesterday."
Amy: "I thought about Judy when Lucky noted that Faison preferred Mahler
to techno...."
Joan: "Sorry, sorry, I know he's being given good stuff and he's acting
up a storm while the going is there, but I can't help it. Billy Warlock just creeps
me out."
Amy: "AJ's irritating me. This tone from him--I liked it at first,
but now it's just repeating itself over and over."
