Monica: "I did not. Your mother did. Lovely weather." Alan: "Yeah, if you don't get caught in a hail of broken glass." Reginald: "You run the hospital, ok? I'll run the picnic." Monica: "Leticia is going to be home soon." Alan: "Yeah, some women are faithful." Reginald: "She'd be here right now if it wasn't for your little weasel of a son." Lila: "Oh, I do love this picnic every year. Reginald, the table looks so festive." Edward: "Well, it's just flags. There's nothing new there. Say, where'd you put my humidor?" Reginald: "I threw it in the lake." Edward: "What? This man has to go!" Lila: "I appreciate your forbearance, dear. This is a very difficult time for poor Reggie." Reginald: "It's not me I'm worried about. It's Leticia--thanks to him." A.J.: "We having fun yet?" Alan: "Don't start, Reginald." Reginald: "Me? It's--it's A.J.'s fault that his ex-wife had to leave the country to escape his latest disaster." A.J.: "You mean Carly--"
Reginald: "Yeah, and Sonny and Michael, which means Leticia took off for parts unknown." A.J.: "They left the country with my son and didn't tell me?" Edward: "After all, she has the right, A.J. You signed away yours." Alan: "Enough. This is a holiday. We're here to celebrate." Monica: "Whether we like it or not." Edward: "Your father's right, A.J. This is a time that we count our blessings--among them, your parents' very wise decision to stop procreating after having you." Monica: "Forgive me, Lila, but if Edward says one more word, I'm going to remove his larynx with a fork. And if he utters a syllable around Emily--" Lila: "Where is Emily?" Monica: "She is with Elizabeth. She could not face the family dinner last night. And the only reason she's coming here today is because I promised she would have fun. You know the meaning of that word, Edward--'fun'?" A.J.: "Careful, mom. Grandfather's idea of a good time is a successful double-cross. You know what? I'm going to go look for Emily, warn her that the laughs are coming fast and furious." Edward: "Well, in my day, the parents knew where their children were. They didn't rely on electronic devices." Edward: "Get your hands off me! The day I can't open a bottle of champagne--" Edward: "Monica, don't be ridiculous. It's a tradition, just like badgering
me. We always toast champagne on the fourth." | |||
