The Cassadines (cont.):
V. Helena Comforts Andreas (7/7)
Helena: "Now, place the roses that Jax sent me on that table. I want them to
be the first thing he sees when he arrives. Oh, and you know how I feel about
candlelight. Don't overdo. Just make it flattering but subtle."
Andreas: "Madam is right. I do know your preferences, lighting and otherwise."
Helena: "Yes, you do, my darling. Oh, come here. Now, there's no need for jealousy.
You and Jax are apples and oranges."
Andreas: "I'm not jealous."
Helena: "No? Then what would you call it?"
Andreas: "Envious, perhaps. Mr. Jax is more fortunate than he knows."
Helena: "Yes, but I wish he weren't quite so reluctant. Ah, well. There's something
to be said for a challenge."
Andreas: "Well, I'm sure madam will have no trouble."
Helena: "My, such confidence. Well, I may use that as inspiration. Now, remember,
no interruptions, even if life as we know it ceases to exist."
Andreas:
"Enjoy your evening."
Helena: "I intend to. Every delicious, long-awaited moment."
Terry updates these scenes: "We move to Helena's yacht: Helena is directing
Andreas as he prepares her bedroom for her upcoming rendezvous with Jax. The red
roses are to be prominently displayed. She tells Andreas not to forget mood lighting--she
doesn't like too many candles (a remark that doubtless got a chuckle out of the
many ratsa-farians who complain about the clichéd blazing candles of most every
love scene), just enough to be flattering and subtle. Andreas reminds her that
he knows her 'preferences--lighting and otherwise.' She strokes his gorgeous cheek
and tells him not to be jealous. He prefers the term envious--'Mr. Jacks is more
fortunate than he knows.'"
"Helena
answers that it's a shame Jax is so reluctant--'But there's something to be said
for a challenge.' Gee, she told son Stefan that she considered him a 'challenge'
during their sparring prior to attempting to kill him. And she's dressed very
similarly to that night--a long black gown with sparkles, similar to the plum
gown of that night, but with long Elvira-esque sleeves. Helena insists there be
no interruptions, 'even if life as we know it ceases to exist. I don't want to
know until morning.'"
Judy:
"I know I laughed. The woman may be deadly, but she has impeccable taste! (And
I'll bet the sheets won't be red satin, either...) Did anyone else feel sorry
for our poor boy-toy? At least Helena had the decency to sooth his bruised ego
a bit."
Terry: "Apples and oranges--it cracked me up. And Constance Towers
does have a way with suggestive language and moves, doesn't she? Earlier in the
week, as she was caressing the neck of the wine bottle while discussing her evening
with Jax, I was in stitches."
Judy: "I didn't notice that! Great 'small thing'!"
V. Stefan Needs a New Researcher (7/10)
Stefan: "Fashion awards. Quartermaine relation. Married Ned Ashton. Hit-and-run.
Hit-and-run, hit-and-run. This is superficial. This is--this is nothing that I'm
not aware of already. What I need is the connection between Chloe Morgan and Helena.
Now."
