This month's clips feature ads from May sweeps in 1998: The Bacchanalia. The
first highlights scenes leading up to the ball, the second is for the prime time
special (also including Elizabeth and Lucky as well as Jax and Brenda), and the
third finds Mac and V investigating Katherine's (first) death.
Note: Somebody wrote in and let me know these links pointed
to last month's clips. You should be able to get to the new clips now. Sorry about

Somebody recently wrote in and asked why I choose only advertisements in this
section. I have good intentions for including other things, but there are several
reasons why, so far, we've only had ads. First, they're easy. They're easy to
catch on the video tapes and they mean that I don't have to make the hard choices
of picking which scene to include. They let me include a taste of a lot of things,
quickly. The other consideration is size--both in terms of my account and for
the individual files. Each month I post just over a megabyte of video clips alone,
in the shape of three 20-second ads. If the average scene is 2 minutes, give or
take, I either have to figure out where to cut or feature only one scene each
month--or both. So ads have been the easy way to take a peek at lots of characters
and storylines.
Below you'll find a screen capture of each clip and the link to download it.
The clips are in RealPlayer format; you can download the free version of the player
at real.com. You can either
click on the link and your browser should download the file into a temp folder
and then play it automatically, or you can "save link as" and save the movie to
your hard drive. We won't be streaming the video in the forseeable future, since
it costs a little more.
