Sonny and Carly (cont.):

II. Fights at the Brownstone (7/18)

A.J.: "Michael, daddy's here."

A.J.: "Huh? Not a goon in sight. Well, guess you'll just have to shoot me."

A.J.: "Carly, if you want your private life to remain private, you shouldn't employ a nanny who's dating my family's butler. Not that I care. My only interest is to spend time with Michael. And I plan to do that on a regular basis."
Carly: "Not on your life."

Carly: "Sonny loves Michael."
A.J.: "But not enough to put up with you."
Carly: "Enough to make sure that Michael is never near the man who killed his baby brother."
A.J.: "Oh--you can't help yourself, can you? You know, that irresistible below-the-belt punch."

A.J.: "You know damn well your miscarriage was an accident. I'm not going to let you use it to keep me away from my son."

Carly: "Oops. What, did I forget to mention--Sonny sent guards. I told him, you know, it wasn't necessary, but he insisted that we be protected, so--"

A.J.: "Don't get too comfortable. Sonny's not going to protect you forever."

Carly: "Sonny, it's Carly. A.J. showed up here, and Rick had to throw him out. He wanted to see Michael. It's all handled. I just thought, you know, I should let you know. Ok, anyway, thanks for looking out for us."

Carly: "Michael and I moved back in."
Bobbie: "I see."
Carly: "I was going to call you, but I figured you and Roy were probably having such a great time on your vacation. I didn't want to bug you, so--"
Bobbie: "Very considerate of you, Carly. What happened?"
Carly: "I left Sonny."

Carly: "So how was your trip?"
Bobbie: "Don't change the subject."
Carly: "No, I really want to know. Did you guys go to one of those luaus? Did you wear the little flower lei, little grass skirt action?"

Bobbie: "Why'd you leave Sonny?"
Carly: "Isn't it obvious? Because I lost the baby."

Bobbie: "Carly, after you lost the baby, he took you back to the penthouse, and he took wonderful care of you."
Carly: "He felt like it was his duty."
Bobbie: "Sonny never said that."
Carly: "He actually did. I overheard him talking to Benny when we were on the island."
Bobbie: "Oh. So you were eavesdropping?"
Carly: "Why don't you ever take my side about anything? I heard him, plain as day. He felt obligated to keep me. Well, I don't feel obligated to stay."
Bobbie: "You know perfectly well Sonny cares about you."
Carly: "Oh, you know what? He's got a real funny way of showing it, then, because not two minutes after I left, he's got his arms all wrapped around another woman."
Bobbie: "Ok. I knew there was more to this story. Who are you jealous of now?"
Carly: "Well, certainly not Elizabeth Webber."

Carly: "Why would she settle for my cousin when she can have Sonny? He's rich, he's good-looking, he's powerful. And he's got this thing, you know, for these sweet little innocent girls, like Elizabeth Webber."
Bobbie: "Honey, does all of this seem a little familiar to you?"
Carly: "No."
Bobbie: "You know, last winter you jumped to the conclusion that Jason and Elizabeth were having an affair. So what'd you do? You ran off and you slept with Sonny. Now, what crazy thing are you planning on doing now?"
Carly: "That's totally unfair."
Bobbie: "No, it's not. I'm just--look, I'm trying to point out a pattern here, ok? You get hurt, you jump to conclusions, and then you try to retaliate. Honey, if you want to punish Sonny, you're going to have to find another way to do it. You're not going to do it under my roof. So here are your choices, ok? You can go back to him, or you can find another place to live. But you're not going to live here."

Carly: "I don't believe this. My own mother's throwing me out."
Bobbie: "Oh, please."

Carly: "Thank you very much for your completely useless words of wisdom."

Carly: "No. You know what? Stop. You've already said enough. I get the picture. And I'm really, really sorry. I promise you I will never ask you for anything ever again as long as I live. First thing tomorrow morning, I'll look for my own place."
Bobbie: "That's not what I'm saying."
Carly: "You know what? Welcome home, ma."
