I. Mac Gets Word On Luke (9/1, 9/4)
Taggert: "You know, it's none of my business, but--"
Mac: "That's right."
Taggert: "Still, maybe time really does heal everything."
Mac: "Maybe."
Taggert: "I hope so."
Mac: "Interpol thinks they spotted Spencer in Italy."
On the next day:
Taggert:
"Well, Luke stats aren't that unusual. I mean, they could fit any guy."
Mac: "And how many of them are traveling as Argentinean cattle brokers?"
Taggert: "Yeah, that's Luke Spencer."
Mac: "No, he dropped out of sight before they could make their move. But
they're tracking him now. Luke will surface eventually. Interpol will be waiting.
Spencer's finally going to pay for killing Stefan Cassadine."
Mac:
"Maxie and Georgie are counting on me, and Felicia and I have a lot to discuss.
Spencer cost us a lot of time. I'm not giving him any more."
Tony: "Tell Felicia and the girls hello for me. I do assume you're seeing
them."
Mac: "This trip. Last time I went to Colorado, I managed to avoid Felicia. I mean,
we have so much to deal with, I don't think either one of us wants to start."
Tony: "It may seem easier to drift apart, but, trust me, it's not."
II. Mac Prepares to Leave (9/6)
Felicia: "I, Felicia, take you, Mac, to be my husband, to have and to hold,
for love, to cherish, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness
and in health, for as long as we both shall live."
Mac: "This is forever."
Felicia: "Forever."
Mac: "Do I get to kiss the bride?"
Felicia: "All night long."
Mac: "I'm hopeful that after enough time, Felicia and I can at least be
amicable around the girls. I mean, that's what's most important for me, Taggert,
is making this work for Maxie and Georgie."
Taggert: "What about you?"
Mac:
"I'm being realistic. I mean, Felicia's in charge of her own life. She can either
try to be with me or not. But she can't expect me to sit around and wait."
Taggert: "Yeah, but it's hard as hell watching a woman who matters to you be drawn
to someone else. And you're right. Ultimately, you can't get her to stop, even
if that's what you want."
Mac: "We still talking about me or have we moved on to you?"
Taggert: "Looking back, is there anything you would have handled differently?"
Mac: "You know, I could see that the warning signs were there, but it's like you
said--if I'd have taken some big stand, I don't know that it would have done any
good."
Taggert:
"Hmm."
Mac: "What I've decided is that no matter what Felicia says, she craves adventure.
She wants to be the carpool mom with a secret life. That's who she is. And the
only one that can change that is Felicia. You know, if you asked her, I'm sure
she'd take issue with how I just described her."
Taggert: "Yeah. I hear you."
Mac: "The bottom line, Taggert, it's a waste of my energy to tell Felicia
who to be with."
Taggert: "Yeah, but it's still hard as hell watching her make the wrong choice."
