I. Just Sit Right Back and You'll Hear a Tale (9/4, 9/5)

Chloe: "You're Helena's prisoner?"
Stefan: "Apparently you are, too."

Stefan: "I haven't seen Helena since I've been here. And I have no idea why she would abduct you."
Chloe: "Because she in an evil, murderous psychotic. No offense."
Stefan: "I couldn't agree more. But that still doesn't explain why you're here."
Chloe: "Because she wants to get to Jax. But it won't do her any good. Unless it's about my dreams."
Stefan: "What dreams?"

Chloe: "Why would she try to murder me and then just suddenly change her mind and kidnap me instead?"
Stefan: "That's a very good question. But my mother is a practical woman. She must believe she has some use for you."
Chloe: "Well, I'm not waiting around to find out. There has got to be a way off this island."
Stefan: "I haven't found it."
Chloe: "You haven't looked hard enough."

Stefan: "Good for you."

Stefan: "How is our Ms. Morgan?"
Man: "As instructed, the guards and the servants have refused to answer her questions."
Stefan: "Good. But she is to be treated with courtesy at all times and, of course, told nothing."

Man: "You've been told many times. I will not carry your message. You will remain on the island until you're allowed to leave. Ms. Morgan."
Chloe: "Lurch."
Stefan: "What did you call him?"
Chloe: "Lurch. The Addams Family. He was the butler. Never mind."

Stefan: "Well, my mother is nothing if not thorough."
Chloe: "She's not infallible. She tried to seduce Jax, she tried to kill me, and she failed at both. There's a way off this island. We just have to find it."

Amy: "When I saw the previews, I was intrigued by Stefan A) showing himself to Chloe so quickly and B) pretending like he didn't know she was there. I think I like this set up."

Arda: "I did love Chloe calling Stefan's servant (do we know his name?) 'Lurch' and that Stefan didn't get it. And somehow, since Jax left, I find Chloe more tolerable."

Amy: "I did like that. As I said above, I've liked very much seeing Stefan put this plan into action. But it's still despite Chloe."

"Meanwhile, that was apparently all we're going to see of 'Brenda?' If so, I'm fond of the fact that Jax left Chloe for her and we won't get the happy reunion scene, just both of them disappearing, with explanation, perhaps, to come lately. I assume Jax will just go missing, because otherwise wouldn't he come searching for Chloe? And will Sonny hear? I like that this could still be a look-alike, but I don't know how I feel about Stefan having found the real Brenda and not realizing it."

Judy: "I have high hopes for the Stefan/Chloe stuff, so I hope Guza doesn't screw this up..."

Terry: "Glad you share my cautious optimism. Having seen a few days so far, I must say I'm relatively pleased. Chloe is interesting again, and I like her feisty side. I also like the cultural references Stefan doesn't get bit, because it ties in with his early days, when he had the same sort of reactions to remarks from Laura and Nik. Loved her calling the manservant/whomever Lurch. Loved that Stefan was clueless. One quibble--I thought she was educated in Europe? Would she have seen Lurch et al.? Still, it was fun. And she's a soothing presence, for me--Katherine always set my teeth on edge, no matter what mode Evans was attempting to play. Tava Smiley (I always think of Travis Smiley--did I get that right--and wonder if they get mistaken for one another on invitation lists?) is a more pleasant person in appearance and speech, so unless she's stuck in inane dialogue, I like seeing her on the screen. This story may just work."

On the next day:

Chloe: "I don't understand why she would hold you captive on this island."
Stefan: "Believe me, I have asked myself that question more times than you can imagine. At first, I assumed that she was simply trying to torture me by rendering me helpless. But now that she's brought you here as well, I'm at a loss."

Chloe: "The medication I was on was shrinking the tumor. The dreams had almost disappeared. I was scheduled for a radiation treatment that would have eradicated the tumor completely. No more dreams, no more visions at all."

Stefan: "You need that medication, Ms. Morgan. I am going to demand that the guards get it for you as soon as possible."
Chloe: "I can't imagine that they would help you."
Stefan: "I can try."
Chloe: "Thank you."

Stefan: "When are you expected back in Port Charles?"
Chloe: "No specific date, but I said I would be in contact. And they knew the trip had to be short because I'm scheduled for that radiation treatment at general hospital. And the Quartermaines--they'll wonder where I am. And when they do, they'll come looking for me."
