I. Trouble in Paradise (8/7)

Helena: "Well. I have a traitor onboard."

Stefan: "Do you realize how vulnerable she is to attack? Helena could have killed her at any moment."

Helena: "I'm feeling very festive this evening."
Andreas: "I'm glad to hear that."

Helena: "You seem unusually awkward this evening."
Andreas: "Yes, ma'am. Shall I turn off the computer?"
Helena: "Is it on? I can't imagine why. I haven't been using it."
Andreas: "Who understands these things?"

Andreas: "I'm afraid someone has been recording you."

Helena: "Why do I imagine that I'm surrounded by people I trust, people devoted to me?"
Andreas: "Because you are."

Helena: "Why would Lucky Spencer record my conversations?"
Andreas: "To help his father."
Helena: "Lucky hates his father."
Andreas: "But there may still be some loyalty."
Helena: "So I was careless in my work with Lucky?"

Helena: "Well, I suppose if anyone could slip by the guards, it would be Lucky."

Helena: "You have full run of this yacht, of my most private places."
Andreas: "I have dedicated my life to being loyal to you. I would never betray you."
Helena: "Your brother did."
Andreas: "And I know what it cost him."

Helena: "Alexis isn't clever enough to do this herself."

Helena: "We'll leave the computer on and see who comes for the c.d."
Andreas: "That's a very good plan."

Helena: "There is no better spy than a dead man."
Andreas: "Your son's body sank like a stone. I made sure of it."

Helena: "Andreas is leaving the yacht. I want to know exactly where he goes."

Helena: "I have reason to suspect my son is alive. Find him."

II. Another Day at the Office (8/8)

Alan: "I'm just trying to protect you, Monica, from some unnecessary strain."
Monica: "As opposed to necessary strain?"

Monica: "Listen, if I can survive a Quartermaine breakfast, I can certainly get through a finance committee meeting."
Alan: "Well, not when the Cassadines are involved. You weren't there at the last showdown between Helena and Alexis."
Monica: "Well, it couldn't be any worse than you and Edward in top form."

Edward: "And I for one am through kissing up to Helena."
Alan: "Oh, is that so?"
Edward: "Absolutely. There comes a point when pride and dignity are the order of the day, and this is it. Now, either she comes through with the funding, or we show her the door. Oh! Helena! How nice to see you. May I say you just look wonderful today."
Helena: "Well, thank you, Edward. What an elegant tie you're wearing."
Edward: "Thank you. It is, isn't it? Lila picked it out."

Alexis: "What in god's name are you doing here?"
Helena: "I could ask the same of you."
Alexis: "Deranged plot not withstanding, you are not and never will be a trustee of the Cassadine estate. I am representing the family interest, and it seems a waste of everyone's time here to be bickering about it until it's official."
Helena: "Delusions of grandeur."

Alexis: "Is that a threat?"
Helena: "Ah. Melodramatic as well as deranged? I'm simply pointing out that your involvement with the Cassadine estate is transitory at best."
Alexis: "I am just actually curious to figure out why you insist on wasting everybody's time."
Alan: "You know, I look forward to continuing this discussion, ladies, after the attorneys tell us who's in charge."

Helena: "And they agreed that it would be quite unseemly for the Cassadine estate to be managed by a woman with ties to organized crime."
Alexis: "As you already know, Sonny is a client."
Helena: "And he's also your landlord. Or were you hoping to rush through your trusteeship before your present living arrangements became public knowledge?"

Alexis: "I signed a lease to move into the apartment across the hall from Sonny. It is aboveboard, perfectly legal, and in no way compromises my integrity."
Helena: "Do you honestly think that people are going to believe that?"

Helena: "Alexis will be living under the sway of a racketeer. Now, surely you can see how that could result in Mr. Corinthos having undue influence on General Hospital."
Alexis: "Talk about being melodramatic."

Alan: "Seems Alexis' objectivity is somewhat in question now that she lives across the hall from Sonny Corinthos."
Monica: "Jason's apartment?"
Edward: "Oh, now, this is too close for comfort."
Alexis: "You're a hypocrite, you know that? And so are you. You fawn all over Helena knowing very well that she's corrupt, and then you pass judgment on me because I simply move across the hall from Sonny Corinthos? You all ought to go home and practice groveling. It may come in handy when I'm named trustee."

Arda: "Whenever we have an unusually bad episode, I stop to consider if there was anything new learned. Everything was a rehash, except for the scene at the hospital. I thought that was lame, too, both in and out of the story considerations. It's stupid for the Qs to consider Alexis tainted now that she's Sonny's neighbor/tenant, and it's stupid for the writers to have the Qs say that. Can you tell I'm just plain irritated with the show these days? I'm just waiting for Luke to get back."

Amy: "Well, maybe not completely stupid. All this kid stuff is bringing up their guilt and issues about AJ and Jason, etc., and Sonny is inextricably involved with the downfall of both children. And there's the matter that Alexis has been out of favor with them before, and about another child--Michael's custody and Tony's visitation. It was awkward, and the scene was out of the blue (and I'm betting they don't really ever capitalize on it with a good story), but the sentiment wasn't so far out there, to me."

Terry: "And to Edward, Helena is just a ruthless business women, cut from the same cloth as himself. Sonny is the guy who facilitated Jason's rebirth as a mobster rather than a Q. I read that scene as setting the stage for some September stuff--Alexis fighting Helena, and Ned getting grief from his family if he sides with her; but mostly the return of Jason. Alexis is living in his apartment. He's working for Sonny. They don't trust Sonny--he took Jason from them, and often opposed them in business matters for Jason's sake."
