This month's video clips take a little intermission from the plot-driven ads
I'm working through. Before I leave the early spring of 1998 behind, I wanted
to include a few extra goodies I've saved. The first is an ad for General Hospital's
anniversary that year; it features Port Charles's original Joe and Karen.
Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe) honors the upcoming first anniversary of Port Charles
with some clips from that show in the second ad. Finally, the last clip is an
ad ABC ran featuring men from all of its soaps; Jax and Jason represent GH
and "Where the Boys Are."
Below you'll find a screen capture of each clip and the link to download it.
The clips are in RealPlayer format; you can download the free version of the player
at real.com. You can either
click on the link and your browser should download the file into a temp folder
and then play it automatically, or you can "save link as" and save the movie to
your hard drive. We won't be streaming the video in the forseeable future, since
it costs a little more.
