Elizabeth Bags the Ice Princess

Gia and Elizabeth wake up in Gia's hotel room to find Lucky missing. Elizabeth asks Gia to back her up as she searches Helena's room, but Gia goes to look for Lucky instead.

On the way to Helena's room, Elizabeth runs into Kristina. Kristina makes a snide remark about the shopping bag Elizabeth is carrying. (I have no idea what the significance of this meeting was.) Elizabeth convinces a maid that she is the girlfriend of Helena's grandson and the maid lets her go into Helena's room. Elizabeth finds the Ice Princess and carries it out in her shopping bag.

Meanwhile, Lucky is seen in the boxcar staring at the wall covered with Elizabeth's pictures. He wonders out loud why he doesn't love her anymore. He rips the pictures down and begins to burn them. Gia finds Lucky and they discuss their lost loves. Elizabeth joins them and insists on speaking to Lucky alone. Gia leaves reluctantly, after Lucky agrees to talk to Elizabeth. He tells Elizabeth their relationship is over. Elizabeth brings out the Ice Princess and says to Lucky, "Do we understand each other?" (since she had observed Helena get Lucky's attention with that phrase). Lucky appears entranced.

Elizabeth tells Lucky she stole the Ice Princess from Helena to undo whatever control she has on him. Elizabeth urges Lucky to see Kevin, but Lucky refuses. He tells Elizabeth that Helena will make him hurt her like he hurt his father if she knows Elizabeth has the Ice Princess. Elizabeth says they cannot give up. Lucky tells Elizabeth she's just a little girl who doesn't have a clue what's at stake. Elizabeth begs Lucky to explain, but all he can tell her is that he feels like he's going to explode. He grabs the Ice Princess from Elizabeth and threatens to get rid of it. Elizabeth warns him that the Ice Princess is the key to getting him back to the person he used to be. Elizabeth tries to persuade Lucky to look into her eyes and listen to her. She tells him (for the bezillionth time), "We love each other, and our love will keep you safe."

Lucky Cannot Feel the Love

Lucky still cannot remember his love for Elizabeth. She continues reminding him and gets close to him. They kiss passionately and Elizabeth asks him if he feels the love. He tells her that he remembers pieces of their past and that it felt good to hold her and kiss her, but that he doesn't feel any love for her. Lucky apologizes and tells her, "I tried." Elizabeth is hurt that he has to try to feel something for her. He offers to kiss her again but Elizabeth says it would be pointless for him to kiss her again so he could feel nothing again. Elizabeth tells Lucky again about Helena programming him to erase his love for her from his memory and that she doesn't know how to fight it anymore. Lucky says he knows how to fight it and bolts from the boxcar with the Ice Princess in hand. Elizabeth follows him to the docks. Lucky tells her he won't be free unless he gets rid of the Ice Princess, and proposes to throw it into the lake. Elizabeth tries to stop him and explains again that the Ice Princess is necessary to undo Helena's programming. Lucky insists that what they had is gone and cannot be recovered. He throws the Ice Princess into the lake.

Helena Discovers the Theft of the Ice Princess

Meanwhile, Helena is furious when she realizes the Ice Princess is missing. She suspects the thief could be either Jax or Elizabeth and asks her henchman to find them and the Ice Princess.

Helena runs into Gia and asks her where Elizabeth is. Gia refuses to help her, saying that as much as she hates Elizabeth, she hates Helena more. Helena accuses Gia of working with Elizabeth. Gia says that she knows what's going on--that Elizabeth and Nikolas are involved. Gia says that Helena must be thrilled since she didn't think Gia was good enough for Nikolas. Gia adds that she doesn't have time for the Cassadines since she has found a new man, Lucien Cain:

Helena: Lucien Cain, you say?
Gia: So you know him?
Helena: Oh, absolutely. He's cool.
Gia: Well, no one in your twisted family can hold a candle to him.
Helena: An interesting way of putting it, Ms. Campbell. I have to agree with you.

At the docks, Helena's henchman approaches Elizabeth and demands to know where the Ice Princess is. Lucky informs him that it's at the bottom of the lake and asks him to tell Helena that the game is over. The henchman leaves after threatening Lucky. Lucky advises Elizabeth to go on with her life and find someone to love her.

Diving for Diamonds

Later that night, Elizabeth and Nikolas wait for a diver to retrieve the Ice Princess from the bottom of the lake. Nikolas is upset because Elizabeth had not involved him more in the theft of the Ice Princess and her attempt to de-program Lucky. Nikolas accuses Elizabeth of playing god with his brother's life, and suggests that Lucky may be better off with Elizabeth out of his head. He quickly apologizes. The diver surfaces and says he was unable to find the Ice Princess. Nikolas asks him to return in the morning to look again.

Laura Returns to Port Charles

Elton phones Stavros to let him know that Laura is back in town. Stavros breaks into Laura's Deception office and waits for her. Laura and Scott arrive at Deception, discussing an off-screen scene where Scott had surprised her at her hotel while she was out of town. Scott asks Laura out for dinner, but Laura says she needs to check her messages first. She is about to go into her office when Gia and Lucky arrive in the reception area. Scott proposes that Lucky call Elizabeth so they can all go to dinner. Lucky matter-of-factly says he broke up with Elizabeth and leaves to get some test shoots to show Laura. Gia tells Laura that Nikolas had asked Helena to "zap" Lucky's love for Elizabeth, and that although he remembers her, he no longer loves Elizabeth. Laura asks if Luke knows what has happened, and Gia describes Luke's odd behavior at the auction and his disappearance. After Lucky and Gia leave, Laura demands to know why Scott didn't let her know what was going on with her family. Scott defends himself saying that Luke had appeared drunk at the auction and that he didn't wish to disturb Laura. Laura is angry, however, and tells Scott he doesn't get to run her life. She leaves (without going into her office where Stavros is hiding) and Scott follows her out.

Laura finds Nikolas and Elizabeth at the docks (where they have been waiting for the diver to find the Ice Princess) and asks Nikolas to assure her that he hasn't turned against Lucky. Nikolas tells her the truth about his pretending to join the Cassadines. He and Elizabeth describe Elizabeth's attempt to de-program Lucky with the stolen Ice Princess and tell Laura that Lucky had thrown the Ice Princess into the lake. Laura apologizes to Nikolas for doubting him. When Nikolas leaves, Elizabeth tells Laura that Lucky has been trying to obliterate something dreadful from his mind. Elizabeth says she believes Lucky has somehow hurt Luke.

Back at the Deception office, Stavros comes out of hiding after Laura and Scott leave. Gia steps off the elevator and tells him she's caught him. Stavros claims that he is there to see her and take her to dinner. He apologizes for not having been around, saying he was helping a friend with a romantic problem. Lucky comes by and says that he knows Stavros. Stavros introduces himself as Lucien Cain and says they had met before when Lucky had interrupted his date with Gia at the Port Charles Grille. Gia says she and Lucien are headed for dinner, but Lucky says she can't go to dinner since they have to work that night. Gia asks Stavros for a raincheck, and Stavros leaves. Lucky tells Gia she should stay away from Stavros because he is dangerous.

After Lucky and Gia leave the reception area, Stavros lurks back into Laura's office, carrying a vase of red flowers. He leaves her an unsigned card that reads, "Can't wait to see you again."
